At Absolute Health, we provide you with a personalized plan suited to your needs, and educate you on how to make smart and healthy choices moving forward.
Upon assessing your blood test results, our providers will then create a treatment plan that will work best for you. They will most likely recommend a combination of the following in order to help you achieve a healthier lifestyle:
- Lifestyle changes (nutrition and exercise)
- Supplements (vitamins and minerals)
A major part of what we do here at Absolute Health is not only provide you with a personalized plan suited to your needs, but also educate you on how to make smart and healthy choices moving forward. Nutrition is a huge aspect of this education role. We believe that providing you with the knowledge and resources to make smart dietary choices is one of the most beneficial parts of our program.
Our providers are extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields and understand that the nutritional choices we make every day have a direct correlation to overall wellness. Your body requires carbohydrates, fats and protein to be fully functional. Our providers take this one step further and help you to differentiate between “good” fats and “bad” fats and the proper amount of protein per ideal weight you should be consuming.
Another part of our nutrition education is discussing popular diet fads that many people seem to follow, such as low-fat, high-protein or low-calorie diets. These fads have been proven to be vastly ineffective time and time again. Those who attempt to diet using these diet fads often end up disappointed with their lack of results or lack of ability to maintain a healthy weight once achieved. At Absolute Health, we believe it is entirely possible to create a plan that allows you to eat for pleasure and for optimum health benefits at the same time.
What we create for you is not a diet, but rather a lifestyle.
Personalized Nutrition Plan
What most people do not know is that often a nutritious diet can help you achieve many of your health-related goals without needing medications to supplement it. However, there are times when a combination of a healthy diet and the correct medication will be the most beneficial treatment plan.
Here at Absolute Health, we believe that excess sugar is one of the biggest problems of the 21st century. Sugar consumption has become a huge problem in our country, especially over the past 30 years, because of low-fat diets that consequently leave us with unprecedented amounts of carbohydrates in our diet. When the limit of carbohydrates consumed is exceeded, the excess sugar is then converted and stored as fat. The limit of carbohydrates your body can handle at a time is often genetically determined, which can be assessed through our Health Risk Assessment. Typically, we advocate a low glycemic load diet that is rich in natural healthy fats, has an adequate amount of protein and restricts carbohydrate intake with elimination of all bad carbohydrates. When implemented correctly, it can be extremely effective at preventing and reversing disease.
Our nutritional approach is not a fad. We will recommend what best works for you and discuss how it works, why it works and how to implement it successfully.
